Everyone has their idol. Elvis. Maradona. That chef who cooks without a recipe. We chose a simple principle as our model: be the best at the one thing you do.
Since 2009 we've been driving passengers from Ljubljana Airport to anywhere — across Slovenia, Croatia, Austria, Italy. In these 16 years we've seen everything. Delays, cancelled flights, passengers left waiting, cars that never showed. We learned that in this business trust is not a nice word — it is the only currency.

Today we are a team of ten. Every driver is personally vetted, every driver knows how to behave, every driver understands that the passenger in the car is not just a client — they are a guest. And guests are not taken for a ride.
Go back about 25, 30 years. Grega — every old-school taxi driver calls him Grga to this day, because most of them were non-Slovenian and couldn't wrap their tongues around "Grega" or "Gregor" — was unemployed. Didn't know what to do with his life. Then he spotted an ad: driver wanted for a taxi company, carrying passengers around Ljubljana.
He applied. Got the job. But before he could sit in the car, they said: 500 German marks deposit, in case you damage anything. He didn't have the money. So he pawned a cassette player, a watch — bits and pieces. Paid up.
He got in the car. An old Mercedes. Dented in the front. Dented in the back. Barely started. Poor thing.
He drove to Prešernov trg — at the time one of the main taxi spots in Ljubljana, where passengers would walk up and grab the door handle. He waited. Finally, the first passenger.
"Mencingerjeva," they said. Grga looked back: "Where's that?"
And so it began. That day he stayed in the car for 2 days straight. Didn't go home. Passengers, conversations, the radio chatter with other taxi drivers — a whole world inside one car. That's when it clicked: I'm going to be a taxi driver.
The years passed. He drove for Intercity Taxi, there was plenty of work. And one day he decided: if I ever have my own, it will be Taxi Legende. It took him 15 years to make it happen.
The road wasn't straight. There were highs and lows — and as a way out, Grga spent four years driving trucks. A different road, a different world. But his mind wouldn't rest. He missed the taxi. The people, the conversations, that particular energy — none of that existed on a motorway in a truck cab. So he came back. And started building Legende.
When he finally opened Legende, that's when he truly understood what looking after a customer means. How hard you have to work to keep them. Some people fly off to the seaside — you wait in the car for a call and a better tomorrow.
Through all those years — the struggle, the learning, the ups and downs — he came to one conclusion:

The agreed price is the final price. No "plus luggage" or "plus late-night surcharge". What is written in the confirmation — that is what you pay.
We don't work on impulse. We don't chase clients at the airport. Every ride is agreed in advance — that's why we are never late.
No meter. No "depends on traffic". The price is the price. Bled is €75, Piran is €150. Always.
Flight at 4:30 am? We're there. Flight at midnight? We're there. In 16 years we have never missed a passenger.
We do our best to send an English-speaking driver. Occasionally someone with more limited English may come — we'll let you know in advance.
Small group? Sedan. Larger party? Minivan up to 8 passengers. Ask us for a group rate.
We are human. In 16 years things have happened — traffic, breakdowns, wrong terminals. We are people, not robots. And yes, occasionally we have gotten it wrong. But every time we made it right. No excuses. Because that is how it is done.
But on one thing we have never compromised:
If we leave you stranded — get into the first taxi you find, even the most expensive one in the city. When you arrive at your destination, send us the receipt. We will refund the difference between what you paid and our price. No arguments. No "but". Immediately.
This is not a marketing trick. This is our word. And our word is worth more than any contract.
We cover all of Slovenia, Croatian Istria and Kvarner, Austrian spas and neighbouring airports. Prices below are approximate — ask for an exact quote.
All prices are one-way, all costs included. Ask for minivan and long-distance quotes.
We also pick up from Ljubljana — your hotel, home, or office. Same fixed prices, same standard. And if you have the money and time — we can go to Africa. Seriously. 🌍

Each of us went through the same test: reliability, punctuality, respect for the passenger. Those who don't hold to these standards don't stay long.
When you book with us, you don't get a random driver from a database. You get one of us. And we stand behind each other.
Before the car arrives, we send you an SMS or WhatsApp — which car is coming and the licence plate number. So you know exactly what to wait for.
And every one of us has a name. Someone has a smile that disarms. Someone speaks Macedonian and French. Someone has the soul of Italy — though they live in Mengeš. Someone knows every tunnel and every shortcut to Pula. We are not uniformed robots. We are people — with stories behind the wheel.
Booking from Ljubljana or the airport? From new clients we ask for a deposit — regardless of destination. Not because we don't trust you. But because the driver comes to pick you up, the car is reserved, the time is ours. And we don't give that away on a friendly face.
Booking from Bled, Piran, elsewhere in Slovenia? We're a bit more trusting there — but still: if we don't know you, we ask for a deposit. Once trust is established, no deposit is needed.

When I am gone — my niece will carry it forward. Because Legende is not one person's name. It is a standard that is passed on.
